I think a matchup with ECU at the EagleBank Bowl would be great. Even if we win the conference, I would prefer traveling to DC than Memphis. We still have two tough games to go but I have faith in the Pirates. Go Pirates!!!

  2. Toney Stowers says:

Marshall vs. Army if they beat Navy December 12th if not Marshall vs. MAC #3 or Duke

  3. Lee says:

I agree, if ECU doesn’t win the championship they should play in DC. There is a lot of talk about them paying in Hawaii, but the market in DC would make for a better atmosphere, ECU is the best traveled team in C-USA and DC only a few hours away from Greenville.

  4. VasPirate says:

I will defiantly say that if ECU loses the Conference Championship game this weekend. This bowl should call ECU right away. I would almost want to guarantee ECU would bring 25K+ fans to this bowl with the location.

I know personally if we are in the Liberty bowl it’s no slam dunk that I would go again. But if we were in this bowl I would have atleast 8 people with me.

  5. bruinfan says:

I think the Eaglebank bowl should try to match up UCLA vs Notre Dame. That game would get huge ratings and both schools have large fan bases that would fill the stadium.

  6. Marco94 says:

We need Marshall U. vs Duke
    great venue for both shools

  7. mark says:

If ECU is not going to the Liberty Bowl, get ECU. Being an alumni from ECU who lives in DC, there are literally thousands of alumni living in VA, DC, MD, PA, and NJ, who would be willing to make a trip to RFK for the game, not to mention greenville is only a little over a 4 hour drive from DC as well. Would sell plenty of tickets.

  8. DC Pirate says:

ECU took a ton of fans to Memphis last year and Memphis is 14 hours from Greenville. I would love to win CUSA again, but if we don’t DC is the place to be. 4 hours of travel and probably 20-25k fans would be trying to make this trip regardless of the opponent. (Although an ACC foe would be nice)

  9. Patrick says:

i am the biggest army fan on the planet! army will beat navy and should play either ECU or marshall in the Eagle bankbowl. GO ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Patrick says:

ARMY shold go. most of the cadets would try to go. there are many fans in the tri state area DC is not that far away. it would be the black knights first bowl appearence since 1996! BEAT NAVY

  11. Patrick says:

It would be a great expeirence for our seniors if army should go considering all will be deployed all around the world when they graduate. It would be a great Christmas present for our future soldiers.

  12. ja says:

Marshall University vs. Army,Duke, or Bowling Green.
Marshall travels very good and the coaching change will get those Marshall fans going!

  13. Donna says:

I think a great match up would be ECU vs. Army or an ACC opponent would be nice too! I traveled 13 hours to Memphis last year to watch the Pirates and would much rather drive 4 to Wash. DC! Go PIRATES!!!!

  14. Paul says:

Marshall vs anyone… except Bowling Green (or any team they have already played this season).
They should bring a decent crowd since it’s been few since they have been in a bowl.

  15. CoogRU12 says:

I hope the Houston Cougars win the C-USA championship. If not D.C. would be fun! But since nobody in this disscussion seems to think we’re worthty to play (5-6) Army. Perhaps we should take our number 18 nationally ranked team to another Bowl.

  16. sharon says:

ecu vs. army would be awesome..have a child at each………..???????????????? but would have to root for ARMY

  17. Pirate_Mac says:

I keep reading the projections of different bowls and can’t believe the Pirates are never mentioned as going to the EagleBank Bowl. At the very least we finish 2nd in CUSA. Hopefully we win the Conference Championship again. Most projections have Marshal going to this bowl. We beat Marshal at Marshall! Plus We have the best traveling team in the conference and home attendance by far. We also have a lot of alumni in the DC area. If this bowl wants fans in the stadium, and we don’t win saturday…ECU would be the obvious, and fair choice.

  18. Adam says:

I believe it should be Middle Tennessee versus Temple. I’d really like to see that matchup, two 9-3 teams from quote “Mid-Major” unquote conferences facing off. It’d bring a great crowd as well, as I’m sure Middle would bring 15k fans and Temple more.

  19. van317 says:

What happened to the agreement to have a C-USA team if Army did not qualify???????

  20. Glenn says:

Okay, so we know Temple’s in and it’s going to be either Army or UCLA. I can’t believe any UCLA fans would come across the country to support a 6-6 team….but I don’t think Army is going to beat Navy. Temple vs. UCLA..sounds weird. Last time Temple went to a bowl they beat another California team…

  21. Owlfan says:

Either Army or UCLA is great.. Temple is ready to show what thier made of.. Get ready for a healthy portion of Bernard Pierce….

    Go Owls!!!
