Military Bowl Privacy Policy
Military Bowl Privacy Policy
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
The Military Bowl Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We run the Freedom Mortgage Military Bowl, the DC Touchdown Club, and Patriot Point. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit militarybowl.org, sign up for our newsletter, buy tickets, or contact us.
This policy does not cover third-party sites we link to, such as our ticket seller. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need.
- Information you give us. If you join our newsletter, we collect your name and email address. If you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you write. If you buy tickets or sign up for a program, the ticket seller or our staff may collect your name, contact details, and other order information.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, our hosting provider and analytics tools may record your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and how long you stayed. See section 4 for cookies.
- Information from advertising partners. If we run ads that use website visits to show you more ads, those partners may collect data about your visit. See section 5.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Send the newsletter and event news you asked for.
- Answer your messages and requests.
- Process ticket, sponsorship, and program requests.
- Understand how people use our website so we can improve it.
- Show ads about the bowl game to people who have visited our site or shown interest in college football.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site, sell tickets, and send email, and only as needed for those services.
4. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies. A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. Some cookies are needed for the site to work. Others help us measure traffic. Google Analytics uses cookies to show us how people use the site, such as which pages are most visited.
You can accept all cookies or choose which ones to allow through the cookie settings on our site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.
5. Third parties
Several outside companies handle parts of our work. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Website hosting. Our site is hosted by Strikingly Inc.
- Analytics. Google Analytics, operated by Google, measures website traffic.
- Ticket sales. Tickets are sold through Tixr. When you buy tickets there, Tixr collects the information it needs to process your order. Read the Tixr Privacy Policy.

- Email. Newsletter sign-ups are stored with our email service provider. [Name of provider to confirm]
We require our partners to protect your information. We are not responsible for how third parties handle information outside our control.
6. Your choices and rights
You are in control of your information.
- Newsletter. Click unsubscribe in any email from us, or email us to be removed.
- Access and correction. You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time.
- Cookies and ads. Use the cookie settings on our site, your browser settings, and your ad preferences on each platform.
If you live in California, Virginia, or another state with a privacy law, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what we collect or to ask us to delete it. [Legal to confirm which state laws apply.] To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 8.
7. Security, children, and changes
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. No website or email system is perfectly secure, though, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our website and events are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
